In a celebration of both English and French, TETHA somehow inserts a beautiful singer-songwriter sensibility into this EDM/dubstep classic. Effortlessly switching between languages, she creates a parlor music vibe with an intricate piano performance and a gorgeous lead vocal. Apparently, it was her fans on TikTok that encouraged the release of this track.

La forêt t’appelle et tu pars
Marcher des ki lomètres sans avoir
Une étoile pour percer le ciel

TETHA is a French singer, songwriter, and composer of electronic dark-pop who borrows her sounds as much from the 80s as from techno, while being deeply moved and influenced by the works of James Blake and FKA Twigs. I was very impressed by her pitch control, and the range of emotion that she is able to access with her voice. In a world of artificial intelligence, it's refreshing to hear from natural singers with real talent and an organic aesthetic. The way TETHA delivers a whispered falsetto is nothing short of mesmerizing.
