Beck Filip, better known as Rowe, is a vocalist and songwriter based in Los Angeles with a gorgeous vocal presence and a talent for creating moody, soul-inspired indie pop. Her music incorporates the heartbreaking honesty of Amy Winehouse with the avant-garde production aesthetic of Frank Ocean. Her latest single "Daze" is both passionate and precise: mixing elements of chilled-out synth, layers of vocal harmony, and riffs on the electric piano into a personal testimony about losing yourself in the throes of confusing love.

After the breakup of her first band and the end of a long-term relationship, Filip was determined to transform her sound and carve out an independent path for her art and herself. She eventually teamed up with Nashville-based musician/producer Micah Tawlks, a trusted childhood friend whose role in her life has come full circle with this release. Tawlks offers guidance as Filip fulfills her experimental vision of blending smooth, soulful vocals with smoldering, mid-century jazz instrumentation. This blending of both classic and modern aesthetics offers a tantalizing taste of what is to come from Rowe in 2023, as "Daze" splits the difference between cutting edge pop and a more intimate, late-night RnB sound.
