It’s a swan song, for the relationship that could have been; a sense of denial, and a desperate search for meaning in that isolated landscape.

Sid Sriram is a Berklee graduate with a degree in Music Production, and the sense of identity inherent in that kind of self-study shines through in the commitment to an ethereal, beat-less arrangement. Clearly there is a willingness to take risks, and to let the song find its own path through the soundscape of electric guitar, reverb, and a raga-influenced vocal sensibility.

It’s a swan song, for the relationship that could have been; a sense of denial, and a desperate search for meaning in that isolated landscape. The resulting catharsis is a painful craving for isolation set to a bold and haunting melody.

Sid Sriram is a singer, songwriter, and producer from San Francisco. This song is featured on our Rainy Day playlist.
