California-based electronic music creator Skysia is back with another elegant and soothing single that combines elements of melodic bass, chill-step, and modern downtempo into a vibe that exudes serenity. Born Tanner Allen, Skysia is a self-taught pianist, filmmaker, and production wizard. Formerly based in Southern California, these days he lives in a converted mini-school bus – complete with mobile studio – crafting sonic art while perpetually immersed in nature.

"Compass" is the latest single from his new EP, produced in collaboration with DJ and multi-instrumentalist Equanimous, who is known his deep bass, beautiful melodies, live looping, and creative rhythms. Together, Skysia and Equanimous have forged an emotive groove that explores the delicate balance between darkness and light. Finding a middle ground between sacred and sexy, "Compass" draws inspiration from global dancefloor pioneers like Bonobo and CloZee, and delivers a spiritual experience that will leave you relaxed and refreshed.

Before embarking on his musical journey via the West Coast scene, Tanner Allen studied production techniques at the esteemed Point Blank Music School in London. In 2019, Skysia dropped debut EP Motion on Jumpsuit Records. He has also worked with Gravitas Recordings and High Vibe Records.
