This is a velvety mix, with a beautiful, backbeat-heavy ambient drum pocket, used judiciously behind a warm and fuzzy vocal performance from SITA. The vibe here feels like the visceral reanimation of a treasured memory, coupled with a reminder to appreciate the present.

The songwriting is effortless, juxtaposing a lilted melody with an intermittent and atmospheric drum groove. You might not notice the consistent lyrical tone, but the theme seems to be acceptance of the unknown as a place where life can be lived to its fullest:

“Overcome, replace the shyness
bliss forming out of the silence
love will make us fall
but you can have it all
this is where we come alive”— Moments

Steelings is the ambient-folk side project of artists SITA and Jacob Steele based in Nashville. This song is featured on our Roots Collection playlist.
