Raine Stern is a 22-year-old queer singer/songwriter, producer, and multi-instrumentalist. She got her start by picking up the guitar at the age of 11, and immediately found a conduit for her passionate storytelling. Her potent and visceral lyricism, combined with a natural talent for band arrangements, has Stern hitting her stride in a big way this year. Already the talk of her hometown in Madison, Wisconsin, Raine is set to reach a national audience with her upcoming debut.

Whether writing, producing, or performing live, her impressive talent is met head-on with an undeniable sense of purpose. Her mission is to inspire devotion to causes such as environmentalism and equality. Raine was a contestant on season 20 of The Voice, has been featured on PBS's 30 Minute Music Hour, played the world's largest music festival — Summerfest — and most recently was featured in NPR's "Best 2021 Tiny Desk Contest."

As young musician leading a 9-piece band, Raine is setting a new standard for what is possible when you combine talent with hard work. We wish her the best, and cannot wait to get our hands on her debut when it is released.

For now, CHILLFILTR® is happy to put a spotlight on her single "I'm Not Them," which features a signature combination of soul-inspired vocals, intricate guitar-based counterpoint, and the slamming horn arrangements that Raine is quickly becoming known for.

This song is in rotation during the Fresh Finds playlist on CHILLFILTR Radio.
