Tómas Welding is a young singer and songwriter from Hafnarfjörður, Iceland. Obsessed with creativity in all its forms, this is the 4th single release from Tómas this year, which combines a fat 808-style bass with electronic production-candy and an emotional spotlight on that moment of weakness when we are almost ready to give up.

A singular vocal aesthetic and urban flavor to the mix, along with a wistful nod to what could have been, elevates this last-minute confessional into a soul laid bare. Maybe all we really have is this moment, right now. With Cop Car, Tómas Welding continues his ascent in the electro-pop space, joining a plaintive verse progression with a slow-core chorus catharsis worthy of Noah Gundersen.

Cop Car was written and produced by Tómas himself along with Pálmi Ragnar Ásgeirsson. This song is featured on our CHILL Angeles playlist.
