Stars in Eyes (Acoustic) by Velcro Mary is roots to the core. Just vocals and guitar; much like "The Drugs Don't Work" it touches on the reality of mortality and the efficacy of self-medication. Just listen.

The honesty and the bittersweetness is palpable; there's a story there, and more importantly, there is true pathos. The narrative works to keep you listening, and it describes that beautiful moment when fear gives way to acceptance. The end is coming, but it's not here yet.

We still have some beauty left in this world, if only for a few moments longer.
