Yotan is an indie RnB and alt-pop artist from Nigeria. "Oyin," his latest single, explores the fantasy of love, and of connecting with the special someone that you can trust, and that challenges you to be the greatest version of yourself.

"Oyin" was written from a place of both pain and happiness, in the sense that we often give up everything just to have a chance at bliss - and it doesn't always work out. With a sparse drum pocket and a syncopated guitar clip, Yotan builds an emotional refuge from the memories of a broken heart with elements of soul, hip hop, and blues. This masterful groove feels both eclectic and personal, as "Oyin" transcends the uninspired details of daily life with a theme of aspirational optimism. A strong melody elevates this rhythmic gem, and leverages the warmth of Yotan's vocal tone against the knowledge that love will shine in the most unlikely of places.
