Last month, Australian songwriter and folk performer Michael Dunstan released another enchanting single—"Walk The Streets On Sunrise" found quick placement on Spotify's New Music Friday AU/NZ playlist and has been steadily gaining streams for the last few weeks. Dunstan's pensive writing reflects on his many experiences with travel, perceptions of light and dark, and the silence in between. His music is meant to encourage personal reflection, growth, and revelation.

"Walk The Streets On Sunrise" features a fingerstyle hook on the acoustic guitar, electric piano, and a lively, organic groove on the drums. Combined with Dunstan's buttery, understated vocal signature, this wistful anthem to a peaceful morning is his second single from an upcoming studio album titled "Impermanence," due to be released June of this year. Dunstan's warm and inviting folk presence is a perfect match for fans of Hollow Coves, as he explores the spiritual and emotional value of personal stillness and the importance of solitude with a love letter to the empty streets at dawn.

The song was written at the beginning of last winter. With long busy days working, I began running before dawn and would often run down empty streets resemblant of airport runways, to be greeted with the stillest, most wonderful sunrises. With no one around, and no sound. Peace and quiet, in the city? The impact it had on my day, as it became busier, was profound. That stillness never left, and inspired me hugely throughout the day, and how I interacted with everyone around me. — Michael Dunstan

Am I alone? Or are we living life in fast forward?
Scrambling from dusk till dawn,
For food to eat, for a place to call our home.
Well he said, I’ve been working all this time,
To find I never lived, right before I die.
And that’s why I walk the streets on sunrise.
And let the peace fill your life.
It’s so damn nice.
Peace and quiet.
Watch the birds take flight.
When you walk the streets on sunrise.
