Combining Olivero's virtuosic guitar with the poignant guajiro musicality of Perez's voice sets the perfect tone for a modern uptempo salsa.

From his early childhood, Austrian multi-instrumentalist Olivero has enjoyed professional music lessons beginning with classical guitar, then also cello, drums and percussion. After getting hooked by the music of Paco de Lucía, he decided to focus on his jazz training and followed up with numerous trips to Spain for guitar lessons with renowned masters of the flamenco guitar.

"Juntando Amores" is the powerful result of a collaboration between Olivero and 2021 Latin-Grammy Winner Alain Pérez. Combining Olivero's virtuosic guitar with the poignant guajiro musicality of Pérez's voice sets the perfect tone for a modern uptempo salsa. At once danceable and lively, Juntando Amores checks all the boxes for an unforgettable mix-up of Afro-Cuban and Western styles: flamenco guitar and vocal harmonies, piano montuno and jazz comping, salsa, and a timbale solo—not to mention this masterful arrangement for horns that feels very Cuban. "Juntando Amores" is an impeccably mixed salsa triumph that features a spectacular band performance and highlights one of the great contemporary singing voices in the Tropical genre.
