Receiving the nomination for Best Acoustic at this year’s SAMAs still seems unreal to me. This music was written alone, quietly, while my baby daughter slept though the wall, without any idea that it might reach another’s ears never mind receive so much positivity from the press or a nomination for this respected award. The satisfaction, and validation, was in completing the work, in getting it out. It’s overwhelming now, and humbling, to think there are so many ears on these songs. But if it provides comfort or solace to someone, as so much music has to me in the past, then that makes it worthwhile. — McCall (Constant Follower)
