Sometimes we get lost in that space of anticipation, and without closure there is no loss; we just float.
Krister Axel - Dec 27, 2018

It’s a slow and sultry vibe thing, with some nice chord extensions, and a wide open triplet groove. So much melody, so much emotion, and the long build feels inevitable; it’s always nice to end a song with big energy.

Sometimes we get lost in that space of anticipation, and without closure there is no loss; we just float. This could be a song about that, playing close to the heart; it also feels a bit like a singular and personal attempt at bridge-building between close enemies. Often, time is the only cure.

“Looking through a thousand faces
on my phone
and I keep holding out for you
I’m still holding out for you”— Baby FuzZ

In an unlikely turn from their previous pop punk masterpiece "Burial", Baby FuzZ cooks up a sultry but unusual indie r and b jam that pivots from minimal piano ballad to soulful screams. This song is featured on our Lost Treasure - Soul playlist.
