Complete with dirty guitar and swirling percussion, the energy gives a sense of immediacy, and a druidic affect.
Krister Axel - Sep 8, 2018

With a haunting soprano and folk guitar to bring it in, this song quickly moves into a murky rock groove. Complete with dirty guitar and swirling percussion, the energy gives a sense of immediacy, and a druidic affect, with the uptempo pulse carrying through the arrangement boldly.

The drums take on an orchestral sound; the vocals, for brief seconds, seem to multiply and scatter across the mix; and somehow the feeling becomes medieval: we are marching across a chalky desert, in a storm. The crystalline falsetto of Kalandra becomes the star that leads us home.

Kalandra is a power-folk trio of Norwegian musicians with a shared passion for the strange. This song is featured on our CHILL Angeles playlist.
