In the depths of throwaway culture, we still find things to keep.
Krister Axel - Jan 18, 2019

With the undeniable core of a disco groove, Tim Atlas extends this pop musing into a full-on dance party. The vocal is all dance-floor and big moves, the break is suitably whammy-bar-influenced, and the interlude feels like the ladies’ song at prom: slow, anticipatory, and beautifully awkward. Plus funk guitar.

And that is the directly awkward-as-lovable conceit: in the process of saying that these words are ethereal, it touches that generation-current reality. Everything is show. Show on, we will. The irony is that in the depths of throwaway culture, we still find things to keep.
