Something about the voice here gives me Jackson Browne, that rustic sound of the desert Southwest, coupled with a coastal urban thing from the shores of Massachusetts. It is wonderfully produced, with a beautiful small-body sound to the acoustic guitar, and a performance from the rhythm section and B3 that feels appropriate to the greats of this genre: Ryan Adams, Jason Isbell, or even Hayes Carll.

It's a dynamic mid-tempo crooner track, with a soothing harmony and a smart turnaround out of the chorus that underscores the extra personality from the songwriting. It's not enough to just have a great chorus; it's nice here where it gets set up so well.
